The Introductory Gold Washing Course is offered daily at 9.30am.
In the high season of July and August you are not required to pre book just turn up. In the months of May, June, September, I offer this course daily but pre-bookings are required. Other times can be arranged just contact me via phone or email. The introductory course is 30 Minutes but can last up to 45 minutes.
Once you have done the introductory course you may want to rent the equipment and search for gold by yourself for the remainder of the day.
Outline of course:
I demonstrate in the camp inside the tub which contains sand with traces of gold how to wash for gold. You learn what equipment is used to wash for gold and how to use it. I talk about how to identify areas in the river which may contain gold and the rules and regulations in relation to search for gold in the region.
Equipment:
If you are interested you can hire equipment including gumboots. I recommend that you hire the full equipment package if you are keen and interested to spend some time seeking gold. Check out the equipment available and prices under equipment hire.

Small children can be there at no cost as long as they keep quiet.
Once the introductory course is completed it is up to you if you want to hire equipment to search by yourself for gold using the tips you have received. If you hire the equipment you have all day and you can return the equipment by 7pm on the same day.
